What is through service?

Inquiry ID:OpenFAQ-001727 Latest Update:2017/01/20

While railroads in Tokyo are operated by more than one railway company, tracks are connected between different lines to operate lines in a uniform manner. Such operation is referred to as through service. Please note that users need to pay the fare set by each railway company and this differs depending on the segment of travel.

(Example)
Tobu Skytree Line (Oshiage Station) to Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line (Shibuya Station) to Tokyu Denentoshi Line
