What measures are in place against fire disasters?

Given the subway fire that occurred in Daegu, South Korea in February 2003, we continue to implement safety improvement measures against major fire disasters. These include enhancing evacuation guidance and facilities, smoke exhausting systems, fire extinguishing devices, etc., reinforcing heat-resistance of stations and trains, and adopting incombustible materials and devices.
