Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use alternative transportation with any type of train ticket?

Inquiry ID:OpenFAQ-001377 Latest Update:2016/12/13

Alternative transportation may be used when there is an interruption of train operation in a segment covered by your Suica commuter pass, PASMO commuter pass, magnetic railway pass, various 1-Day Open Tickets, regular tickets, etc. When you are using a Suica, PASMO or other IC card for rides other than a student/commuter railway pass, you are not eligible for alternative transportation.
