Frequently Asked Questions

What is alternative transportation?

Inquiry ID:OpenFAQ-001374 Latest Update:2016/12/13

Alternative transportation refers to having passengers travel the segment covered by their tickets/passes by a different route in the Tokyo Metro network or in the network run by other railway companies based on the request by Tokyo Metro to those companies. This may occur in case there is an interruption of train operation in the segment covered by the tickets/passes held by passengers. (When offering alternative transportation, we will notify users at stations and on trains.)
